About Meraki
A small firm for work that deserves close attention.
Meraki is a Greek word for putting something of yourself into what you do. It captures the care, curiosity, and personal responsibility we bring to every artist, conversation, and collaboration.
Meraki was founded on a simple belief: creative work needs more than visibility. It needs time, context, honest counsel, and people who understand both the ambition of an idea and the practical work required to realize it.
The firm works between two worlds that do not always speak the same language. On one side are artists protecting a practice while building a career. On the other are institutions, festivals, and companies trying to create something meaningful within real budgets, timelines, and responsibilities. Meraki helps both sides understand one another and build work that can hold up creatively and practically.
Relationships over transactions
The best work grows from trust: the kind built through honest conversations, kept promises, and attention that continues after the introduction is made.
Strategy before exposure
Attention is only useful when it serves a larger direction. We begin with what an artist, career, or program is trying to become — then choose the next move accordingly.
Selective by design
A deliberately small roster and client list leaves room to know the people, understand the context, and stay close to the details that change an outcome.
The person behind Meraki
Katlyn Trzaska
Founder & CEO
Katlyn founded Meraki to bring the creative and operational sides of the work into one practice. Her background spans artist management, entertainment, film festivals, cultural institutions, public initiatives, partnerships, and the behind-the-scenes systems that allow ambitious ideas to happen well.
She is as comfortable asking where an artist wants to be in five years as she is working through the details of a negotiation or a program plan. That range shapes Meraki’s approach: attentive to people, clear about strategy, and grounded in what it takes to follow through.
